My name is Michael Hall, and I like to think of myself as a simple worshipper. I am the product of a loving and just God, and without Him, I am nothing. I strive to honor God alone in everything I do, but especially with the musical talents He has blessed me with. His name is made great in my life only because of His great power and plan, not because of anything I have done or can do. Born in Tampa, Florida, I was diagnosed as a small child with retinoblastoma, a form of childhood eye cancer, which has severely depleted my vision. The same cancer took the life of my twin brother when we were seven; because of God’s grace and will, however, that is merely the beginning of my story, not the end. My brother and I both found forgiveness and redemption in Jesus Christ, so we both have the hope and unwavering promise of eternity spent with God.

Despite my limitations, God has continued to bless me in so many ways. I have been playing or leading in worship music, in various capacities, since 2003. I graduated from the University of South Florida in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies. I have also received both a Master of Arts in Religion (Worship Studies) in 2009, and a Master of Divinity (Professional Ministries) in 2012 from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2021, God opened the door for me to finally get cataract surgery, which significantly improved my vision.

I currently reside in Tampa, serving at my home church (First Baptist of Lutz). I enjoy good coffee, Tampa sports teams, and other “nerdy” things. Above all, though, worship gives me the most joy. As I humbly wait for what God has in store for me next in life, He continually provides avenues to serve Him and ways to watch Him work!
